The
Ford Popular 103E was based on the earlier E494A design from 1947, which
itself was a derivative of the 7Y, made between 1937 and 1939. The running
gear and engine stayed more or the less the same in the entire production
period, becoming somewhat dated at the end of its production in 1959.
A mainstay of British motoring, both in standard form and hot rod versions.
The 5cwt Fordson/Thames
van version was the mainstay of small businesses, and is now highly sought
after, either as a standard classic, or hot rod.
